Types of Hackers
So guys!!!! here i am after a loooong time…but now you’ll be getting daily updates.
ok now..lets start from where we left last.. IP ADDRESS
In last class we have seen the classes of IP addresses. 5 classes are there out of which 3 are important and used in today’s scenario , these are A, B and C.
Class A : 0.0.0.0 to 127.255.255.255 and subnet mask is /8
Class B : 128.0.0.0 to 191.255.255.255 and subnet mask is /16
Class C : 192.0.0.0 to 223.255.255.255 and subnet mask is /24
so thats lil bit revision about what we studied in the last post.Today we will be talking about Hackers. interesting nah..?? yeah it is pretty much ..who are they and what they do..
A hacker is one who enjoys the intellectual challenge of creatively overcoming and circumventing limitations of programming systems and who tries to extend their capabilities.The act of engaging in activities (such as programming or other media) in a spirit of playfulness and exploration is termed hacking.
that’s what wikipedia says..you might be scratching your head for these complicated terms, so for you all i have my own definition of Hacker and Hacking .
A person who has complete knowledge of a system, who knows IN and OUT of the system is a HACKER. and the Technique used by him to get the knowledge of IN and OUT of the system is known as HACKING.
unauthorized access, illegal activity, etc are particular terms. We have a category of Hackers divided on the basis of type of works they do..
Three types of HACKERS-
- WHITE-HAT HACKERS
- BLACK-HAT HACKERS
- GREY-HAT HACKERS
people defined some more types of hackers like RED, GOLD etc , but they are particular one’s .The standard classification contains only 3 types.
1. White-Hat hacker :-
Those hackers who always indulge themselves in Ethical Projects (work done for a good purpose). They are also called ETHICAL HACKERS.
2. Black-Hat hacker :-
Those hackers who always indulge themselves in Illegal activities or Unauthorized Access to any System. These people always look for their PROFIT rather than than any type of harm done at the Victim’s side.
3. Grey-Hat hacker :-
These are the mixture of Black and White hat hackers. simply means that those who work for both Govt. as well as Private people or group of people or any organization.
now you need to decide what kind of HACKER you want to become.. through my this course you will be an Ethical Hacker. But there will always be something in my post , reading which carefully you can choose the other path as well for that particular work.
so that’s all about the Hackers and their types. In the very next lecture we will be learning about GOOGLE HACKING.. sounds interesting nah.. !!!

What you need to do is search 5 names of hackers each from the hackers category and comment it after the post.
